About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and analyze new international tax laws and regulatory reporting requirements
- Model international tax components including GILTI, FDII, and BEAT
- Complete related tax filings, including Forms 1118, 5471, and 8858
- Coordinate with regional tax managers on tax filings and regulatory submissions
- Maintain international tax compliance calendars and track filing deadlines
- Implement process improvements for international tax compliance and reporting
- Manage and review foreign tax packages and information supporting financial and income tax audits
- Conduct technical research on tax issues
- Support special projects and cross-functional assignments
- Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams while managing multiple deadlines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation or higher required
- 4+ years accounting experience in a multinational corporation or professional services organization required
- International tax knowledge
- Financial and accounting systems experience
- Understanding of ASC740 and US GAAP concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to manage, prioritize, and handle numerous projects and tasks
- Willingness to meet strict reporting and tax deadlines
- CPA Certification preferred
- Previous tax accounting experience in a global organization preferred
- Ability to follow site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards
