About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support policy workstreams spanning advocacy, community engagement, stakeholder outreach, technical research, regulatory analysis, and briefing materials
- Draft talking points, white papers, social media posts, presentation decks, and short- and long-form articles for external audiences
- Research legislative, regulatory, and policy developments and synthesize findings into actionable briefs
- Provide operational support through drafting, proofreading, data compilation, and project coordination
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in public policy, political science, law, international relations, or a related field
- Genuine interest in US policy and government
- Demonstrated research capability, including written analysis of legislative, regulatory, or policy topics
- Collaborative team player able to flex between community-facing work and technical research
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and progressing on evolving problems
- Proactive, self-starter mindset
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables with minimal supervision over a 12-week engagement
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight
- Maximum of 3 applications within a 6-month period
