About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own frontend technical strategy and architecture for financial reconciliation and operations products
- Build and guide React and TypeScript applications for high-volume financial data, tables, filtering, visualizations, and transaction-level investigation
- Lead auditable human-in-the-loop workflows covering validation, approval states, error handling, permissions, and review history
- Define end-to-end contracts with backend and API teams
- Establish frontend quality practices for testing, accessibility, performance, observability, feature management, and safe rollout
- Drive ambiguous, high-impact initiatives across engineering, product, design, and Finance stakeholders
- Partner with Finance and Accounting users to translate operational pain points into product and technical roadmaps
- Mentor engineers and raise the team’s technical bar
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Significant experience building and shipping production web applications with React and TypeScript
- Fullstack capability across frontend and backend services
- Track record leading ambiguous, cross-functional projects from problem definition through rollout and iteration
- Deep frontend architecture expertise, including state management, API integration, performance optimization, accessibility, testing, and observability
- Experience building data-rich operational products, enterprise software, or workflow systems
- Experience where accuracy and user trust are essential
- Experience with financial systems, reconciliation, or payments preferred
- Ability to influence technical direction across organizational boundaries
- Experience creating alignment through written technical designs and product discussions
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight
