About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build smart contracts integrating with asset providers such as Ondo and Centrifuge.
- Develop proxy smart contracts connecting users with underlying assets through a common interface.
- Ship Solidity contracts to mainnet on EVM chains.
- Design contract systems from the ground up, including boundaries, interfaces, storage layout, upgrade strategy, access control, and emergency paths.
- Help determine which functionality belongs onchain.
- Own meaningful work, including contracts behind critical token sales or onchain work for new products.
- Conduct adversarial reviews of colleagues’ contracts and external audit findings.
- Perform fuzzing and invariant testing.
- Rehearse deployments on testnets.
- Monitor systems and participate in incident response.
- Report directly to the CTO and contribute in a small, greenfield-focused engineering team.
- Opportunity to extend work into Rust and the Solana runtime.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Over 7 years of professional working experience, including at least 2 years of writing Solidity that reached production.
- Knowledge of the EVM, including storage layout and packing, gas mechanics, memory versus calldata versus storage, ABI encoding, events and indexing, contract size limits, and related tradeoffs.
- Knowledge of modern Solidity patterns, including proxies and upgradeability, role-based access control, signature verification and replay protection (EIP-712), reentrancy defenses, and oracle or price-manipulation defenses.
- Experience with Foundry (preferred) or Hardhat, fork tests, fuzzing and invariants, and a defensible testing workflow.
- Security mindset covering flash loans, MEV bots, malicious tokens, adversarial review, and documenting findings.
- Ability to ship high-quality code, set and meet deadlines, prioritize effectively, and deliver reliably.
- AI fluency and natural integration of AI tools into daily workflow.
- Product-minded approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfort with ambiguity.
- Strong written communication for a distributed, remote-first team.
- Preferred: Rust and Anchor, or Solana programs in production, including SPL tokens, program-derived addresses, token extensions, and compute-unit optimization.
- Preferred: DeFi protocol depth, including lending, AMMs, vaults (ERC-4626), staking, and reward accounting.
- Preferred: Account abstraction (ERC-4337), including smart accounts, paymasters, and bundlers.
