About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take full accountability for the day-to-day running of the bakery department
Report to the Store Manager
Contribute to a store that is exceptionally presented, welcoming and engaging for customers, team members and the local community
Lead, coach and develop the bakery team
Meet sales targets, cost control and rostering requirements
Monitor stock, rotation routines, waste and quality control
Promote a team culture focused on success, health, safety and wellbeing
Deliver an outstanding shopping experience for customers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment
Direct or indirect leadership experience
Ability to lead, coach and develop a team to meet sales targets, cost control and rostering requirements
Ability to maintain department standards, including stock monitoring, rotation routines, waste and quality control
Ability to drive a one-team culture prioritizing team member health, safety and wellbeing
Ability to deliver an outstanding customer shopping experience
