About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide speech-language pathology services in Athens, Georgia, and surrounding areas
- Evaluate and treat impairments across speech and language, executive functioning, cognition, dysphagia, and augmentative communication
- Provide individualized treatment for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
- Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Deliver treatment in patients’ homes and communities
- Accept PRN patients for the duration of their stay
- Use creative activities to address functional goals and produce durable outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- State licensure is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA is required
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Bilingual Spanish/English capability indicated by the role title
