About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide personal hygiene assistance to elderly patients and patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents
Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation
Support mobility in and outside the home, including doctor’s appointments and walks
Assist with personal care, hygiene, meal planning and preparation, and physical therapy exercises
Complete client shopping or accompany clients while shopping
Perform housekeeping duties and report unusual incidents
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies
Assist patients with meals and other activities essential for daily living
Provide individualized, one-on-one, patient-centered care in clients’ homes and communities
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on integrated treatment plans

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experienced CNA
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
High School Diploma or equivalent, or experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
Take pride in providing high quality care
Willingness to continuously learn new skills
