About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating
Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation
Assist with mobility at home and outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks
Provide personal care and hygiene support
Plan and prepare meals
Assist with physical therapy exercises
Complete clients’ shopping or accompany them while shopping
Perform housekeeping duties and report unusual incidents
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies
Assist patients with meals, including serving and related daily-living tasks
Work one-on-one with patients in their homes and communities as part of interdisciplinary treatment plans
Provide care to patients recovering from neurological injuries and complex orthopedic diagnoses

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform job-related duties
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day
Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
Availability to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment
Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
High school diploma or equivalent, experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
Hoyer Lift experience specific to client
Take pride in providing high-quality care
