About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assess, counsel, and direct medically complex patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans to assist with adjustment to disability, resource linkage, and behavior modification
- Provide neurological rehabilitation for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
- Deliver treatment in patients' homes and communities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create integrated treatment plans
- Incorporate creative, activity-based approaches while addressing functional goals
- Provide intensive, individualized services from severe brain injury through job readiness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work (LCSW)
- State licensure required
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Ability to provide patient-centered care in McKinney, Texas and surrounding areas
- Ability to accept patients for the duration of their stay
