About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate and treat impairments including upper extremity function, ADLs and IADLs, visual and perceptual skills, cognitive needs, adaptive equipment needs, and assistive technology needs
- Provide neurological rehabilitation for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neuro or complex orthopedic diagnoses
- Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Deliver one-on-one treatment in patients' homes and communities
- Incorporate creative, evidence-based activities addressing functional goals
- Build patients' skills across the continuum from severe brain injury to job readiness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- State licensure is required
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
- Professional certification/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Ability to provide treatment in patients' homes and communities
