About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate and treat impairments including upper extremity function, ADLs and IADLs, visual and perceptual skills, cognitive needs, adaptive equipment needs, and assistive technology needs
  • Provide treatment for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
  • Develop integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
  • Deliver one-on-one services in patients' homes and communities
  • Use creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals
  • Build patients' skills across the rehabilitation continuum, from severe brain injury to job readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • State licensure is required
  • Professional certification/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy preferred
  • Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders strongly preferred
  • Excellent planning, organization, writing and time management skills required
  • Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
  • Ability to provide patient-centered care in patients' homes and communities
