About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide occupational therapy for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
  • Treat clients in their homes and communities
  • Evaluate and treat impairments involving upper extremity function, ADLs and IADLs, visual and perceptual skills, cognitive needs, adaptive equipment needs, and assistive technology needs
  • Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
  • Use creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals
  • Provide intensive, individualized, patient-centered services
  • Support patients across the continuum from severe brain injury to job readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • State licensure is required
  • Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
  • Professional certification/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred
  • Excellent planning, organization, writing and time management skills are required
  • Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is required
