About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide occupational therapy in patients' homes and communities
- Evaluate and treat impairments involving upper extremity function, ADLs, and IADLs
- Address visual and perceptual skills, cognitive needs, adaptive equipment needs, and assistive technology needs
- Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Use creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals
- Deliver patient-centered care for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and complex orthopedic diagnoses
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
- State licensure required
- Professional certification/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy preferred
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills required
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers required
