About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide occupational therapy for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses in patients' homes and communities
Evaluate and treat impairments involving upper extremity function, ADLs, IADLs, visual and perceptual skills, cognitive needs, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology
Create integrated treatment plans as part of interdisciplinary teams
Practice treatment plans in patients' homes and communities
Use creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals and produce durable outcomes
Provide intensive, individualized, one-on-one patient care
Support patients across the continuum from severe brain injury to job readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completion of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
State licensure is required
Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
Excellent planning, organization, writing and time management skills are required
Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is required
Professional certification/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred
