About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide neurological rehabilitation in patients' homes and communities
  • Treat patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
  • Create integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
  • Evaluate and treat impairments involving upper extremity function, ADLs, IADLs, visual and perceptual skills, cognitive needs, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology
  • Incorporate creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals
  • Provide intensive, individualized services and build patients' skills
  • Work with patients across the continuum from severe brain injury to job readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • State licensure is required
  • Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
  • Professional certification/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred
  • Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
