Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate and treat impairments including upper extremity function, ADLs and IADLs
Address visual and perceptual skills, cognitive needs, adaptive equipment needs, and assistive technology needs
Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
Provide one-on-one treatment in patients' homes and communities
Use creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals
Deliver patient-centered care for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and complex orthopedic diagnoses
Support patients across the continuum from severe brain injury to job readiness

What you’ll need

Completion of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy is required
State licensure is required
Professional certification/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred
Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
Excellent planning, organization, writing and time management skills are required
Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is required
Ability to provide treatment in patients' homes and communities
Must be available for PRN work
