About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide occupational therapy for patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
- Evaluate and treat impairments involving upper extremity function, ADLs, IADLs, visual and perceptual skills, cognitive needs, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology
- Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Deliver individualized services in patients' homes and communities
- Use creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals and produce durable outcomes
- Support patients across the continuum from severe brain injury to job readiness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- State licensure is required
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
- Professional certification/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills are required
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Ability to provide patient-centered care in patients' homes and communities
