About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate and treat impairments involving upper extremity function, ADLs, IADLs, visual and perceptual skills, cognitive needs, adaptive equipment needs, and assistive technology needs
Provide neurological rehabilitation for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
Deliver individualized treatment in patients' homes and communities
Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
Incorporate creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals
Build patients' skills across the continuum from severe brain injury to job readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completion of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
State licensure is required
Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills are required
Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
Professional certification/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred
