Physical Therapist Assistant – Neuro – PRN

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate and treat impairments, including lower extremity function, mobility, vestibular skills, adaptive equipment needs, and environmental safety needs
- Provide patient-centered care for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
- Deliver intensive, individualized services one-on-one in patients' homes and communities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create integrated treatment plans
- Practice treatment plans in patients' homes and communities
- Use creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals and produce durable outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program required
- Bachelor's or Master's in the same discipline preferred
- Must be certified in the state of Georgia
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, standards, and practices
- Knowledge of physical therapy equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA and infection control regulations
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related physical disorders strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organizational, writing, and time management skills required
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Valid driver's license required
