About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate, treat, and educate neuro-rehabilitation patients
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate recreation activities, functional leisure skills, and leisure education
  • Assess patient capabilities, interests, and barriers
  • Monitor progress and recommend program changes or modifications as required
  • Perform home assessments
  • Assist patients with transition to home and community
  • Create integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
  • Provide individualized, one-on-one treatment in patients' homes and communities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation
  • CTRS designation is required
  • Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
  • Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
  • Must work with patients in the The Woodlands, TX area
