About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate, treat, and educate neuro-rehabilitation patients
- Plan, organize, and coordinate recreation activities, functional leisure skills, and leisure education
- Assess patient capabilities, interests, and barriers
- Monitor progress and recommend program changes or modifications
- Perform home assessments
- Assist patients with transition to home and community
- Create integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Provide patient-centered care in patients' homes and communities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation is required
- CTRS designation is required
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills are required
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is required
