About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide exceptional neurological rehabilitation in patients’ homes and communities
- Evaluate and treat impairments involving speech and language, executive functioning, cognitive needs, dysphagia, and augmentative communication
- Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Use creative, evidence-based therapeutic activities to address functional goals
- Provide patient-centered, individualized services for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
- Accept PRN patients for the duration of their stay
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- State licensure is required
- Certificate of clinical competence from ASHA
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Work in Dallas, TX, and surrounding areas
