About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide evaluation and treatment of impairments involving speech and language
- Evaluate and treat executive functioning and cognitive needs
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia
- Address augmentative communication needs
- Develop and implement integrated treatment plans in patients’ homes and communities
- Provide individualized, patient-centered care for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
- Accept PRN patients for the duration of their stay
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- State licensure is required
- Certificate of clinical competence from ASHA is required
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills are required
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is required
