About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide speech-language pathology services for patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
  • Evaluate and treat impairments involving speech and language, executive functioning, cognition, dysphagia, and augmentative communication
  • Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
  • Deliver patient-centered treatment in patients’ homes and communities
  • Use creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals
  • Accept PRN patients for the duration of their stay

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
  • State licensure is required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA is required
  • Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
  • Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
  • Provide services in Rockwall, TX and surrounding areas
