About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate and treat impairments involving speech and language
- Evaluate and treat executive functioning and cognitive needs
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia
- Address augmentative communication needs
- Provide treatment for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
- Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Deliver individualized services in patients’ homes and communities
- Incorporate varied activities to address functional goals and support durable outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- State licensure is required
- Certificate of clinical competence from ASHA required
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Experience providing patient-centered care in home and community settings
