About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide speech-language pathology treatment in patients' homes and communities
- Evaluate and treat impairments involving speech and language
- Evaluate and treat executive functioning and cognitive needs
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia
- Evaluate and treat augmentative communication needs
- Create and implement integrated treatment plans as part of interdisciplinary teams
- Incorporate varied activities to address functional goals
- Provide intensive, individualized, patient-centered care
- Treat patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- State licensure is required
- Certificate of clinical competence from ASHA is required
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Work in El Cajon, CA and surrounding areas
