About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide speech-language pathology treatment in patients’ homes and communities
- Evaluate and treat impairments involving speech and language, executive functioning, cognitive needs, dysphagia, and augmentative communication
- Develop and practice integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Deliver intensive, individualized, patient-centered care
- Use creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals and produce durable outcomes
- Support patients across the continuum from severe brain injury to job readiness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- State licensure is required
- Certificate of clinical competence from ASHA is required
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- PRN availability to accept patients for the duration of their stay
