About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate and treat impairments involving speech and language
- Evaluate and treat executive functioning and cognitive needs
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia
- Evaluate and treat augmentative communication needs
- Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Provide one-on-one, patient-centered treatment in patients’ homes and communities
- Address functional goals through creative therapeutic activities
- Accept patients for the duration of their stay
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- State licensure is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA is required
- Experience in treatment of neurologically related disorders strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Ability to provide care in Dallas, TX and surrounding areas
