About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide speech-language pathology services for patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
- Evaluate and treat impairments involving speech and language, executive functioning, cognition, dysphagia, and augmentative communication
- Create and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Deliver individualized, evidence-based treatment in patients’ homes and communities
- Develop functional activities addressing patient goals and durable outcomes
- Accept patients for the duration of their stay
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- State licensure
- Certificate of clinical competence from ASHA
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Willingness to provide treatment in Pearland, TX and surrounding areas
