About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate and treat impairments involving speech and language
- Evaluate and treat executive functioning and cognitive needs
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia
- Evaluate and treat augmentative communication needs
- Provide patient-centered care for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses
- Develop and practice integrated treatment plans in patients’ homes and communities
- Provide services for patients across the continuum from severe brain injury to job readiness
- Accept PRN patients for the duration of their stay
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, professionals, and co-workers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- State licensure is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA is required
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Speech-language pathology expertise in speech and language, executive functioning, cognitive needs, dysphagia, and augmentative communication
