Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Qualifying degree must contain at least 18 credits in graduate-level mathematics and/or statistics courses
  • Knowledge of the mission and philosophy of a community college
  • Ability to leverage technology for teaching math courses in online and remote learning environments
  • Knowledge of current issues and trends in college mathematics education, including emerging challenges posed by artificial intelligence
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule across multiple locations, modalities, and times, including in-person classes
  • Experience teaching co-requisite courses, with a focus on liberal arts, business, and STEM pathways (preferred)
  • Experience teaching diverse student populations (preferred)
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and service, commensurate with experience (preferred)

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or an alien authorized to work in the U.S.; CSN does not sponsor H-1B visas absent exceptional circumstances
