About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach in person, on multiple days, at main campuses, learning or satellite centers during morning, afternoon, and evening.
- Develop course syllabi and materials.
- Evaluate mastery of student, program, and institutional learning outcomes.
- Participate in developing formative and summative assessments and assessment instruments.
- Maintain office hours for student advisement.
- Participate in recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
- Participate in School, Department, and Program meetings and activities.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Chair for office, division, and institutional needs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Administration of Justice from an accredited college/university.
- Five (5) years of full-time practitioner experience in the criminal justice profession.
- Criminal justice practitioner experience, not teaching experience, within the last ten (10) years.
- Resume/CV, cover letter, contact information for three professional references, and unofficial academic transcripts required.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or aliens authorized to work in the U.S.
- CSN does not sponsor H-1B visas for faculty positions absent exceptional circumstances.
- Criminal background check may be required.
- Ability to perform job-related tasks may be required.
