About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide students with information about ABE, DWED, CSN, workforce training, career pathways, and postsecondary opportunities
- Assist students with identifying next steps within HSE, ELA, IET, bridge, short-term training, industry certification, ATB, and college pathways
- Assist with enrollment navigation, onboarding, orientation, registration, intake, and transition activities
- Connect and refer students to CSN departments, workforce agencies, training programs, community organizations, and support services
- Conduct follow-up with current, inactive, transitioning, and exiting students to support persistence, re-engagement, and successful transitions
- Assist with career readiness activities including resumes, interviewing, digital literacy, job-search resources, employability skills, and workplace readiness
- Facilitate or assist with orientations, pathway presentations, career-readiness workshops, informational sessions, and student engagement activities
- Maintain accurate student notes, referrals, follow-up information, and participation or transition information in applicable data systems
- Assist with tracking participation, persistence, progression, transitions, employment outcomes, and required follow-up activities
- Assist with collecting and reviewing student documentation for program participation, referrals, transitions, and reporting
- Support retention and re-engagement initiatives
- Participate in recruitment, outreach, and community engagement activities
- Collaborate with instructors, advisors, registration staff, workforce teams, and community partners
- Support testing, registration, intake, onboarding, and other student-service activities
- Assist with student-facing materials and communications
- Attend staff meetings, professional development activities, and program or community meetings
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience providing customer service, student support, community services, workforce services, education support, or related services
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, community partners, and members of the public
- Ability to use computers, Microsoft Office applications, and electronic information or student-tracking systems
- Ability to organize work, maintain accurate records, follow established procedures, and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively with diverse adult learners and provide professional, student-centered customer service
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, or off-site assignments based on program needs
- CSN employs only U.S. citizens and aliens authorized to work in the U.S.
- Criminal background check may be required
- Ability to perform job-related tasks may be required
- Preferred: one or more years of experience in adult education, higher education, workforce development, customer service, student services, community services, or a related setting
- Preferred: experience working with adult learners, underserved populations, or multilingual and multicultural communities
- Preferred: experience assisting with registration, intake, referrals, educational services, workforce training, or career-readiness activities
- Preferred: experience conducting student follow-up, outreach, orientations, workshops, or informational sessions
- Preferred: experience using student information, case management, customer relationship management, or data-tracking systems
- Preferred: knowledge of CSN, DWED, Adult Education, workforce training, career pathways, or community workforce resources
- Preferred: strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, listening, and written and oral communication skills
- Preferred: ability to learn program requirements and explain processes, services, and next steps clearly and accurately
- Preferred: ability to work collaboratively while independently prioritizing assigned responsibilities
