About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Teach assigned sections of ART 108: Fundamentals of Design II (3D) and/or ART 156: Design Fundamentals III
  • Deliver instruction in three-dimensional design principles and elements, including form, space, composition, and visual organization
  • Demonstrate the safe and effective use of 3D printers and related equipment
  • Guide students through the design, development, and fabrication of three-dimensional projects
  • Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback
  • Participate in instructional meetings and professional development activities
  • Complete and submit required instructional documentation and paperwork
  • Support student learning and engagement through effective instructional practices
  • Teach morning, afternoon, evening, and/or weekend courses based on scheduling needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Blender 3D
  • Experience creating artwork, design projects, or prototypes using 3D modeling software and 3D printing technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary three-dimensional art and design practices
  • Experience incorporating digital fabrication tools into creative projects
  • Active studio, exhibition, design, or professional practice in art, design, sculpture, digital media, or a related field
