About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of the assigned campus site during evening hours
  • Monitor facility usage and ensure compliance with Federal, State, NSHE, and CSN policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with Custodial Services, Operations & Maintenance, and other support services
  • Complete and submit work orders and notify the Supervisor by email
  • Implement room changes and follow up with the Supervisor
  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and route inquiries
  • Assist visitors with directions and general information
  • Use CSN resources to locate faculty/staff contact information and college program details
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for Student Union evening operations
  • Collaborate with campus security and notify on-call staff and emergency personnel as needed
  • Follow emergency protocols and coordinate with Campus Life leadership, University Police Services, and campus partners
  • Support Campus Life programming, student engagement initiatives, and evening special events
  • Assist with extended-hour Coyote Cupboard operations
  • Collaborate with Learning Center staff on programming and student resource initiatives
  • Provide access to Lactation Rooms, study rooms, and other specialty rooms
  • Represent CSN and Campus Life professionally
  • Report urgent incidents immediately and report site activity daily
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service, office support, facilities operations, or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn CSN policies, procedures, and emergency protocols
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during evening operations
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency or high-pressure situations
  • Basic computer proficiency, including navigating websites and institutional systems
  • Evening work required (4pm–8:30pm)
  • Must upload a cover letter and resume
  • Criminal background check may be required
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or alien authorized to work in the U.S.; CSN does not sponsor aliens for applicable positions
