About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways
- Reflect the college's core values, culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field
- Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures
- Teach courses according to the class schedule, approved course descriptions, and faculty-approved syllabi
- Perform teaching assignments at one or more college campuses or off-site locations, including possible evening and weekend programs
- Teach dual credit courses when assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in the discipline/qualifying field, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline/qualifying field
- Minimum of three graduate hours in Animal Physiology, Mammalian Physiology, Vertebrate Physiology, Pathophysiology, or Neurophysiology
- For lab sections, bachelor's degree in the discipline/qualifying field
- Qualifying transcripts must be attached to the application
- Conferred transcripts, licenses, and certifications must be attached where applicable
- Candidates are subject to a criminal background check
- Candidates selected for dual credit courses must complete additional fingerprinting with the Texas Department of Public Safety
- Ability to perform duties on-site at a Collin College campus or other designated location
- Teaching experience is desired
