About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways
  • Teach courses according to the class schedule, approved course descriptions, and faculty-established syllabi
  • Support culturally responsive teaching and demonstrate knowledge of the teaching field
  • Teaching assignments may occur at one or more college campuses or off-site locations
  • May teach evening and weekend programs
  • May include Dual Credit courses
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in business or a Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline/qualifying field
  • Teaching experience is desired
  • Candidates will be subject to a criminal background check
  • Dual credit assignments require an additional fingerprinting background check with the TX DPS through the assigned ISD
  • Faculty applicants must attach qualifying/conferred transcripts; applications without appropriate transcripts will be incomplete and not considered
  • Must perform duties in person at a Collin College campus or other Collin College location; remote or telecommuting arrangements are not permitted except under narrow statutory exceptions
  • Ability to meet professional standards for faculty and follow college policies, procedures, and core values
