About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and deliver engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate English coursework
  • Teach courses according to the schedule of classes and approved course descriptions and syllabi
  • Incorporate culturally responsive teaching and knowledge of the teaching field
  • Teach at one or more Collin College campuses or off-site locations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in the discipline/qualifying field, or a Master's in any discipline with 18 graduate hours in the discipline/qualifying field
  • Qualifying/conferred transcripts must be attached to the application
  • Candidates will be subject to a criminal background check
  • Dual credit assignments require an additional fingerprinting background check with the Texas Department of Public Safety
  • Ability to teach courses according to the schedule, approved course descriptions, and syllabi
  • Ability to perform duties on-site at a Collin College campus or other Collin College location
  • Ability to work evening and weekend programs if assigned
  • Faculty must meet professional standards and follow college policies, procedures, and core values
