About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways
  • Teach courses according to the schedule of classes
  • Follow approved course descriptions and syllabi established by Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in discipline/qualifying field, or a Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline/qualifying field
  • Ability to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways
  • Commitment to the college's core values
  • Understanding of culturally responsive teaching
  • Knowledge of the teaching field
  • Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures
  • Candidates must attach qualifying/conferred transcripts; applications without appropriate transcripts will be deemed incomplete and not considered
  • Candidates are subject to a criminal background check
  • Additional fingerprinting background check with the TX DPS is required if selected for dual credit courses
  • All candidates should expect to perform duties on-site; remote or telecommuting arrangements are not permitted except under narrow statutory exceptions
