About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways
- Reflect the college’s core values, culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field
- Meet professional standards for faculty under college policies and procedures
- Teach courses according to the class schedule and approved course descriptions and syllabi
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values
- Teach on one or more campuses or off-site locations, potentially including evening and weekend programs
- May teach Dual Credit courses
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in discipline/qualifying field, or a master's in any discipline with 18 graduate hours in discipline/qualifying field
- Must attach qualifying/conferred transcripts; applications without appropriate transcripts will not be considered
- Candidates are subject to a criminal background check
- If selected for dual credit courses, an additional fingerprinting background check with the TX DPS is required
- Must perform duties on-site; remote or telecommuting arrangements are not permitted except under specific circumstances defined by law
- Ability to teach courses according to approved course descriptions and syllabi
- May need to teach evening and weekend programs
- May be assigned to one or more college campuses or off-site locations
