About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways
- Teach courses according to the class schedule, approved course descriptions, and syllabi
- Follow faculty standards, college policies, procedures, and core values
- Incorporate culturally responsive teaching
- May teach on one or more college campuses or off-site locations, including evening and weekend programs
- May teach Dual Credit courses
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Perform duties in person at a Collin College campus or other designated location
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree in Computer science, Computer Systems, Software Development, Web Development, Database, or closely related fields
- Related work/industry experience preferred
- Teaching experience is desired
- Candidates will be subject to a criminal background check
- Dual credit assignments require an additional background check with fingerprinting through the TX DPS
- Qualifying transcripts must be attached to the application
- Conferred transcripts, licenses, and certifications must be attached where applicable
- Must perform duties on-site; remote or telecommuting arrangements are not permitted except under narrow statutory exceptions
