About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways
- Reflect the college's core values and culturally responsive teaching in instruction
- Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes
- Follow approved course descriptions and syllabi established by Division faculty
- Perform teaching assignments at one or more college campuses or off-site locations
- Teach evening and weekend programs when assigned
- Teach Dual Credit courses when assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in discipline/qualifying field, or a Master's degree in any discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in discipline/qualifying field
- Qualifying transcripts must be attached to the application
- Candidates are subject to a criminal background check
- If selected for dual credit courses, an additional background check requiring fingerprinting with the TX DPS will be required
- Ability to teach courses according to the schedule, approved course descriptions, and syllabi
- Ability to perform duties on-site at a Collin College campus or other designated location
- Teaching experience is desired
