About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways
- Teach courses according to the class schedule, approved course descriptions, and faculty-established syllabi
- Meet professional faculty standards under college policies and procedures
- Apply culturally responsive teaching practices and knowledge of the teaching field
- Teach at one or more college campuses or off-site locations, including possible evening and weekend programs
- Teach dual credit courses when assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree or higher in discipline/qualifying field
- Hold a current license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or a Registered Nurse in Texas
- Qualifying transcripts, licenses, and certifications must be attached to the application
- Candidates are subject to a criminal background check
- Dual credit assignments require an additional fingerprinting background check with the Texas Department of Public Safety
- All applicants must attach a copy of their qualifying transcripts
- Ability to perform duties on-site at a Collin College campus or other Collin College location
- Teaching experience is desired
