Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the PMO team
  • Manage all aspects of assigned project and program development and implementation
  • Serve as an alternative point of contact for assigned projects
  • Take projects from original concept through final implementation
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Run project meetings and conduct project tracking and analysis
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables
  • Facilitate integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance to the project team
  • Manage requirements gathering, analysis, design, planning, development, implementation, and testing of technology solutions
  • Work with business customers and partners to design, define, plan, and implement technology solutions
  • Document organizational needs for technology solution development and implementation
  • Track project progress, monitor and modify schedules, and provide status updates
  • Improve portfolio, project, and program management processes
  • Travel periodically to project sites and customer sites throughout the United States

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in IT project management, specifically within government contracting
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Information Systems or a relevant technical discipline is preferred but not required
  • Experience managing client expectations, implementing service improvement initiatives, and communicating effectively with senior management
  • Strong process development skills
  • Ability to learn and understand technical concepts in order to interpret, document, and formalize procedures
  • Experience working with business users to gather and document business requirements
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic team environment and interact at all levels
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience planning, managing, and tracking multiple complex IT impact projects is preferred
  • PMP preferred
  • Ability to obtain and hold a security clearance
  • Ability to obtain technical certifications as needed
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% throughout the United States
  • Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with hours potentially flexing based on project requirements
