About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support risk assessments in alignment with the Enterprise Risk Identification and Assessment Standard and established methodologies
  • Prepare assessment materials, maintain documentation, track action items, and facilitate adherence to enterprise standards
  • Assist with risk reports, dashboards, and presentations communicating assessment results, risk exposures, and issues to stakeholders and management
  • Partner with business and risk stakeholders to gather information and support assessment activities
  • Promote consistent application of enterprise risk management practices
  • Contribute to quality assurance, effective challenge, and continuous improvement activities
  • Support maintenance, enhancement, and governance of risk management processes, standards, taxonomies, and methodologies
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes
  • Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when requested
  • Foster Columbia's corporate culture and take personal initiative
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, technology (IT/infosec/AI), risk management, or another applicable discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of banking, risk management, compliance, IT/InfoSec, AI, or audit experience
  • Working knowledge of tools and techniques used in risk identification, risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting
  • Ability to work under the direction of a Manager or Risk Officer/Senior Risk Analyst on assigned work efforts
  • Ability to work with multiple business units, key stakeholders, and risk professionals
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to present complex information to different audiences
  • Knowledge of operational and enterprise risk management concepts, best practices, and regulatory guidance
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Power BI
  • Knowledge of IRM/GRC systems helpful
  • Proven ability to problem-solve issues with moderate supervision
  • Compliance with applicable bank regulations, policies, procedures, and required training
  • Working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other applicable regulations
  • Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s)
