About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a liaison between relationship managers and business units during qualification stages of new or existing customer relationship application requests
  • Monitor existing customer relationships on a transactional basis in partnership with lenders/relationship managers, business units, and other bank departments
  • Provide process, product, and requirements knowledge for Consumer and Business Lending loan products, including SBA Express Unsecured Loans
  • Partner with the Relationship Team to obtain and review underwriting information
  • Set up, process, and monitor documents and files for package completion, client specifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Set up and monitor loan requests for accuracy and timely file movement
  • Follow up with relationship managers to obtain necessary loan-process information
  • Review and resolve customer problems regarding bank products and services
  • Facilitate customer account maintenance and advance requests
  • Respond to internal helpline questions regarding consumer, business lending, and SBA Express loan products, requirements, and processes
  • Support the digital loan applications group
  • Maintain compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, and required training
  • Keep current on regulation changes and maintain knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other applicable regulations
  • Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when requested
  • Foster Columbia Bank's corporate culture and support its vision to become “Business Bank of Choice”
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4-7 years of experience in banking, loan administration (Required)
  • Strong knowledge in all areas of banking and lending
  • Ability to read and write, with advanced arithmetic skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in learning to present information to others and/or train others
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships
  • Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel, and other business machines
  • Occasional travel
  • H.S. Diploma/GED (preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or finance (preferred)
  • Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s)
