About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide systems and operational support for the Bank's loan servicing function, emphasizing FIS core banking technology and loan-related applications, processes, and functionality
  • Analyze business requirements and support system configuration and enhancements
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate testing and upgrades
  • Improve workflows across the loan servicing lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Loan Servicing, technology partners, stakeholders, subject matter experts, business owners, vendors, and others
  • Document, communicate, validate, and refine requirements
  • Make recommendations based on product vision, market requirements, research data, and organizational goals
  • Elicit information and ideas regarding existing and proposed business systems
  • Research and interpret moderately complex business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Assist with business case development and the RFP process during project initiation
  • Assist with integration and user acceptance testing of new or revised workflows, processes, and systems
  • Support development of training, implementation, and post-implementation materials
  • Serve as liaison between business units and Technology Advancement Group (TAG)
  • Demonstrate compliance with bank regulations and keep up to date on regulation changes
  • Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when requested
  • Foster Columbia's corporate culture and support its vision to become 'Business Bank of Choice'
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, project management, business systems or equivalent (preferred)
  • 2-4 years of relevant business analyst and/or project management and/or operations experience related to the assigned business unit function (Required)
  • Business operations knowledge
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated data analysis skills including project management and/or operations
  • Knowledge of banking policies, procedures, practices and documentation
  • Proficient knowledge of development concepts and practices, potential applications, and customer requirements
  • Proven usage of project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships
  • Occasional travel required
  • Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s)
  • Compliance with Bank policies, procedures, regulations, and required annual or job-specific training
  • Working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other applicable regulations
