About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create purchase orders to record purchases from financial commitments including requisitions, contracts, catalogs, and punchouts
  • Proactively maintain, change, and update open purchase orders to reflect current financial commitments
  • Monitor purchase order and invoicing issues and troubleshoot issues preventing matching and supplier payments
  • Coordinate with requestors, accounts payable, finance, and other procure-to-pay stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate open purchase order, past due purchase order, and open-receiver lists
  • Oversee the procure-to-pay process flow and correct its effectiveness when necessary
  • Facilitate and maintain effective supplier and internal stakeholder relationships
  • Perform and run RFPs with internal business partners and assigned spend categories
  • Maintain cost-effective supplier selections throughout the bidding process
  • Demonstrate compliance with bank regulations and keep up to date on regulatory changes
  • Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when requested
  • Foster Columbia corporate culture and take personal initiative
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or Supply Chain Management preferred
  • 2-4 years of negotiations training, TCO training, or Project Management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in system processing of purchase order types, requisitions, catalogs, punchouts, etc.
  • Intermediate experience with purchase order maintenance and management
  • Basic experience with supplier management practices with RFx’s, contract negotiations, supplier accountability, supplier business reviews, and supplier issue remediation and de-escalation
  • Experience with the P2P end to end value chain and understanding how purchasing fits into the overall value chain
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Must follow Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and complete required annual or job-specific training
  • Working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other applicable regulations
