About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform teller transactions and cash handling functions accurately and confidentially, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, payments, transfers, check cashing, and balancing cash drawers.
- Perform daily branch-integrity tasks, including balancing ATMs, processing night-drop deposits and returned mail, balancing negotiable instruments and credit card machines, and updating lobby rate sheets and brochures.
- Safeguard cash-drawer funds and promptly account for or transfer funds to mitigate risk.
- Interact with internal and external clients, anticipate needs, and provide proactive solutions and problem resolution.
- Maintain current knowledge of Columbia Bank products, services, and changes.
- Discuss and uncover customers' financial needs and offer appropriate products and services.
- Support branch referral goals by identifying and referring basic bank products to appropriate business partners.
- Work under the guidance of the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- 1 year of previous banking or customer service experience, preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Ability to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with written numbers, words, and verbal and written instructions.
- Ability and willingness to build relationships with clients and other bank associates.
