About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support optimization of workflows and processes for bank business units
  • Identify and document business unit requirements
  • Investigate business unit systems and identify improvement options
  • Bridge business unit needs with information technology solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to document, communicate, validate, and refine requirements
  • Make recommendations based on product vision, market requirements, research data, and organizational goals
  • Elicit information and ideas from subject matter experts, business owners, vendors, and others
  • Research and interpret moderately complex business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Assist with business case development and the RFP process during project initiation
  • Assist with integration and user acceptance testing of workflows, processes, and systems
  • Support development of training and implementation/post-implementation materials
  • Serve as liaison between business units and the Technology Advancement Group (TAG)
  • Keep current with regulatory changes and demonstrate compliance
  • Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when requested
  • Foster Columbia's corporate culture and take personal initiative
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, project management, business systems or equivalent (preferred)
  • 2-4 years of relevant business analyst and/or project management and/or operations experience related to the assigned business unit function (Required)
  • Business operations knowledge
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated data analysis skills including project management and/or operations
  • Knowledge of banking policies, procedures, practices and documentation
  • Proficient knowledge of development concepts and practices, potential applications, and customer requirements
  • Proven usage of project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships
  • Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s)
  • Compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, and required training
  • Working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other applicable regulations
